Mfon Ekong Usoro (Mrs) was conferred the Honour of Chevalier de l’Ordre du Merite maritime in the name of the President of the Republic of Cote D’ Ivoire at a ceremony held in Abidjan on July 9, 2015. The National Honour is in recognition of Mrs Usoro’s contributions to the maritime industry in the sub-region.

This would make the second National Honours conferred on Mfon Usoro by two West African countries. Mrs Usoro is Officier de L’Ord de Mono, OOM, a National Honour of the Republic of Togo conferred by the Late President Eyadema of Togo in 2002.
